The Nicene Creed

by on Jan.26, 2012, under Theology

Constantine convened a council in Nicaea in A.D. 325

A creed reflecting the position of Alexander and Athanasius was written and signed by a majority of the bishops.

The two parties continued to battle each other and In A.D. 381  a second council met in Constantinople.

It adopted a revised and expanded form of the A.D. 325 creed, now known as the Nicene Creed.

The Holy Spirit proceeds not only from the Father, but from the Father and the Son

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Love of No End

by on Jan.16, 2012, under Poetry

Love of No End

The Heavens shook in tears,
When they lost her to this earth.
Have You God given up a great joy for me?
Into the comfort of my arms?
For the rivers of the world,
Could not contain the tears I have for her!
And the air of the sky could not sustain it,
Nor can anyones eyes keep it dry,
For only she can stop them!
And my true love for her,
Fire cannot char!
For love cannot burn.
Water cannot sink it,
For passion cannot drown.
The earth cannot shake it,
For love fazes not.
An hourglass of time cannot end it,
For my heart can never forget it!

Boundry of Space and Love

by on Jan.16, 2012, under Poetry

Boundry of Space and Love

Your hairs are strains glittering in the evening moonlight,
Your eyes are oceans under a vast sky of starlight.
The mountains tremble to your voice and the stars submit,
Your tears flood the heavens to your wishes I commit.
The mountains level  as your path requires passage,
With every breath my heart craves your undying passion.
The sky disowns its color to fill your hearts ocean,
Your very beauty serves me as a curing potion.
Your flaring eyes could flood the boundary of darkened space,
As I hold your frail heart, your perfect body I brace.
Your will is mine to the very end of endless time,
To abandon your heart; hell would be a worthy crime.
There is no sorrow less than your tears upon my soul,
And there is no wrong in how much love your pure heart stole.
A river could not count for the rage of love herein,
For an empty ocean is full within… You…

Your

Your

Your breath is the wind that carries my sails,
And your eyes guide my way when my hope fails.
Your love is the sun,
I blind from the light!
And your heart is the stars,
Under a lit night!
Your love is the shore,
that calls my heart near.
And your hands pull me under,
Within your care!
Your hair is like a rose,
Sweet and mild scent.
And your trancing lips speak,
As an angel sent!

I Walk The Night

by on Jan.16, 2012, under Poetry

I Walk The Night

I walk through this dark night, under a clear vast sky…
And I question with greatness,
Why?
Why is it raining upon my skin?
Why do I feel It’s Crimson staining my heart, From within?
And I stumble back and fall upon wounded knees,
And pray…
Where is the Light of day,
Where I can see You and pray?
For there is no torch in this darkness to see!
And I beg you open my eyes,
Please!!
And I pray…
They say there is no Crimson stains!!
They say only a crazy vapor you see,
Only your imagination, creating such rains -
You must be insane!
And I say, Can’t you see my wrinkled, soaked skin?
Or sense my flood from within?
And the only response I get is…
Stop crying before I am mad!
Before your Curse in me begins!!

Parasomnia War

by on Jan.16, 2012, under Poetry

Parasomnia War

I saw Demons,
And they saw me!
In my dreams, and throughout my life.
In this reality,
And in theirs…

I’ve scaled their molten mountains!
I’ve walked their sulfer plains!
I’d breath hells burning winds,
And crawled under the crimson skies!

I’ve seen them in hooden robes,
Standing next to my bedpost!
And I’ve seen their human likeness,
And their dragon like scales!

I saw their long sharp teeth,
And their curved narrow claws!
They would chace me endlessly,
Through any, which reality!

Once trapped me down,
And pealed my skin!

I screamed so loud, God save me now!
But Hell went on…

Do You test me Lord,
To build me strong?

To build my patience,
To know just from wrong?

Do You test my spirit,
Against the powers of dark?

Or is it just a game,
And I’m insane?

Yet I think unto the past,
And to my present future.
And You were there,
And so were they!

War is all I know,
In my Heart and in my Soul!

From day one on,
To this present toll!

My guilty worn out nature,
Against His given Christ like self!

Many times I’d wish You take me!
But I wake up to another morning…

Yet I pray,
Your will for me is great.
That my life is not vane,
Like a dried out lake!

But stand before You, in the end -
And hear You say,

You are righteous!
By Your Saviours Blood!

Come eat with Us,
From the Tree of Life!
Where there are no sorrows,
Nor tear,
Nor vice…

Gemstone

Gemstone

An angel of passion, how far have you flown?
I see your heart as white, and your strength as stone.
In the midst of night – even your presence Shone!
My blind eyes glance open, I stand not alone.
But you I see,  as a dream – I am outshone!
Through the storm I prevail, to you my Gemstone!
